Service Centre: Control Unit Storage and Disposal Policy
If you need to send your control unit to Portable Spas New Zealand for repair! Here's how the process works:
- Prepare Your Control Unit: Ensure you only send the control unit itself. Do not include inlet and outlet grills or rotation knobs, as these are not required for the repair process. If you need to remove the control unit from the spa shell, be careful when handling the white rotation knob to avoid damaging the microswitch underneath.
- Shipping Instructions: Use a sturdy box, such as a banana box, to safely pack your control unit. Include the completed Return Control Unit Form with your details and Shopify number (if known). This form ensures we have all the necessary information to process your repair efficiently.
- Shipping Costs: Shipping the control unit to our service centre is at your expense. However, we offer discounted return shipping labels to make the process more affordable. You can purchase these labels directly from us.
- Repair Assessment: Once we receive your control unit, our technical team will assess it. If the issue is covered under warranty (e.g., manufacturing defects), the repair will be free of charge. If the unit is out of warranty, you will be advised of the repair costs before any work begins.
- Storage Policy: If your control unit remains with us for over two months without payment or arrangements, it will be disposed of. A $10 weekly storage fee applies after the first 15 days of receipt.
